WHAT IS THE TEA BAR ABOUT?

Single Origin Taiwanese & Chinese Teas

We pride ourselves on sourcing exquisite Chinese & Taiwanese tea. We pursue teas directly from farmers across Taiwan and have partnered with Tea Drunk to source our single origin teas directly from heritage tea makers across China.

That means we know exactly where, when, and how our teas were created, guaranteeing our customer's the best quality Taiwanese and Chinese tea with beautiful complexity in each sip.

Experience Gong Fu Cha

 

Gong fu cha simply means "tea made with intention or skill" in Chinese and is a phrase used to denote traditional Chinese methods of brewing tea.

 

The brewing and presentation of quality loose leaf teas follow similar concepts as one would take care to open, decant, and present a fine wine.

 

From teaware to timing, we put together recommendations for brewing each of our teas to bring out the delicacies that exemplify the hallmark flavors of each tea.

Why Are You Called "The Tea Bar"?

 

We first set up shop at a five seater bar inside a bookstore. This was an experimental space focused on elevating customer's perception of tea through intimate gong fu cha sessions.

In pursuit of simplicity we named the company what it was, a tea bar.​​

​

With the physical location closed at present, we're in pursuit of sourcing excellent teas for yearly drops.
